After completing the Oakwood Chocolate Shop portion of the Social Studies unit about goods and services, we studied many different types of services and the students chose a career or profession they would like to be when they grow up. They had to figure out what type of schooling was required, explain why were interested in that profession, and what skills would be needed. They typed their reports on the iPads and used a photo of their face to draw a picture of their future selves in the profession.
To wrap up the unit, the primary students had "Career Hour" in which students dressed as their profession and read their descriptions.
